Mum & Baby Event with Jenny Fielding – Specialist Pelvic Health Physio

I’m so excited to finally share more about a new in-person event I’m hosting alongside the wonderful Jenny Fielding from Mint Wellbeing.

Jenny is a local specialist pelvic health physiotherapist, and someone who actually supported me personally after I had my baby. Even though I’m a physiotherapist myself, I specialised into paediatrics a long time ago — so when it came to postnatal recovery, pelvic health and rebuilding my strength, I knew I needed expert support.

Jenny was absolutely incredible. She helped me understand my body again, regain strength safely, and feel more like myself — physically and emotionally. Through that experience we developed a friendship, and when I launched NeoNurture Physiotherapy it felt like a natural next step to team up and support mums together.

We’re both incredibly passionate about our specialties, and we truly believe they complement each other. By joining forces, we can offer support not just for babies, but for mums too — because your health and wellbeing matter just as much.

Why we created this event

As I mentioned in my first blog post, one of my biggest passions is supporting and empowering parents. My work isn’t just about treating babies — it’s about giving parents the knowledge, confidence and tools to support their baby’s development themselves in everyday life.

When parents feel informed and supported, incredible things happen — for both them and their babies. This event is designed to do exactly that, as it’s a relaxed, welcoming mum & baby session where you can bring your little one along, learn, ask questions, and connect with other mums — with absolutely no pressure.

What Jenny will be covering 💪

Jenny will be sharing expert advice on postnatal recovery and women’s health, including:

• Your pelvic floor
• Your abdominal wall and core
• A safe and structured return to exercise
• Navigating intimacy after birth
• Managing postpartum aches and pains
• How to access the right support at the right time

What I’ll be covering 👶

I’ll be talking all things baby development, including:

• Newborn development and why the first 1001 days are so important for early intervention
• Baby behaviour and cues — what your baby is communicating before they can talk
• How to support development through everyday responsive parenting – it’s not just about doing “exercises”
• Common conditions such as torticollis, head-turning preferences, positional plagiocephaly (flat head) and others
• Typical milestones and what to expect – how there’s a wide range in typical development
• When to seek support for your baby

Support for new mums

This event is really about about creating a calm, supportive environment where mums feel heard, reassured, and empowered — and where babies are completely welcome (I’m always keen for a baby cuddle if mums want hands free for a few minutes!)

We are both so excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to meet lots of lovely local families. If you’re a new mum yourself — or know someone who is — we’d absolutely love for you to join us. Please feel free to share the event with anyone who you think might benefit.
