Baby massage has been shown to promote better sleep, support digestion, ease colic, and strengthen the bond between parent and baby — while also nurturing emotional and physical wellbeing.
I am certified by the IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage), offering classes combining evidence-based techniques with a calm, supportive environment for both you and your baby.
Classes run as a 5-week course, with each session lasting around 1 hour. Parents or caregivers will learn:
- Baby massage techniques
- Key developmental theory, such as:
- Reading your baby’s cues & how they communicate
- Understanding their behavioural states & sleep
- How baby massage can support your baby’s development
- How to adapt massage techniques for the growing child
I also provide tea, coffee and refreshments at the end of every session, giving you a chance to connect with other local parents, share experiences, and access support.

The course is suitable for babies from birth to around 9 months of age (ideally pre-crawling). You can join a small, friendly group at my home in Claygate, Surrey, on Tuesdays. Or you can opt for private 1:1 sessions. See below for upcoming dates and availability for group sessions.
I also offer private individual or group sessions in your own home if preferred.

“Anna is a very kind, patient instructor and everything she teaches is respectful of the babies and what mood they are in. The classes hugely increased my confidence massaging my baby and had a positive effect on my baby’s happiness and comfort”
– Helen, Mum of Emilia
“I did Anna’s Nov/Dec sessions and also the Christmas special! Can’t express how lovely these were, from the music, to the setting to the little touches with the name on their oils. Just loved it all so so much! We will be back!”
– Elspeth, Mum of Sailor
Commonly asked questions:
“Who massages my baby?” – You will massage your own baby. Demonstrations will be made using dolls.
“What if my baby needs changing or feeding during the class?” – Classes are entirely baby-led, meaning we follow your baby’s cues to guide the session. Massage is always optional. Feeding, changing, and comforting are welcome at any time, and if your baby prefers not to be massaged, a doll can be provided for you to practise the techniques.
“Can I bring my partner or another family member?” – Both parents or caregivers are very welcome and encouraged to attend. To ensure you and your baby have the opportunity for 1:1 protected time and bonding, we kindly ask that siblings do not attend the baby massage classes.
“What’s included in the price?” – The £85 is for all 5 sessions. This includes oil and handouts.
“How do I pay?” – Payment can be cash or bank transfer in advance of the class. You can also book online through the Happity App/website. Unfortunately I cannot refund for missed sessions within the block.
“What do I need to bring to the class?” – We encourage you to bring a blanket or muslin for your baby to lie on, as well as your usual change bag. Everything else is provided.
“I have twins, is it double the price?” – Cost is charged per family, so there is no extra charge for twins. We encourage both parents to join if able!
“What age does my baby need to be?” – Baby massage can be done from birth, and the classes are appropriate as soon as your baby has been discharged home. However as babies spend a lot of their first few weeks asleep, we often find starting around 4-6 weeks means they have more awake periods to join in. We recommend attending the class before 9 months of age as a guide, mainly because that’s often when babies start crawling or moving around. You can still massage your baby beyond this age, but you may need to make some adaptations. If you’re unsure if your baby is the right age or suitable feel free to get in touch.
